IWAC210 at SKUAST-Jammu University (India)

Sher-e-Kashmir University is a prestigious technology school in North India, operating on more than 250 ha of land. When they decided to build a new 900 seats auditorium, the sound aspect was taken seriously from the start as they wanted a top class installation for the comfort of their students. After a long period of planning and consulting, they finally chose CELTO Acoustique IWAC 210 line source for their main system.

It's a great time to be student at SKUAST Jammu University. The school is famous all over the country, the campus is located in a beautiful part of India, and students enjoy now a brand new 900 seats auditorium with a great sound system.

With more than 1000 pcs sold in a few months, CELTO Acoustique IWAC has quickly become a reference in the compact line source category. One of the reason of its success is the rigging system that offers a never seen flexibility. Without any additional hardware, IWAC210 can attach to IWAC118S in an air or ground stack setup. In floor stack setup, IWAC210 can be aimed up or down for near to mid field usage. This ability allows us to explore new technologies and experiment with new high-tech materials. The HFDN72 neodymium compression driver that is used on IWAC210 is the perfect example of our commitment to push state-of-art boundaries to new heights. To our knowledge it’s the only product of its class to feature a CNC machined ZAMAC phase plug, next generation Ferrotec Ferrofluid (10 years warranty) and Aquaplass TC4 diaphragm that reduces dramatically break up modes above 7kHz. Coupled with IWAC210 waveguide, HFDN72 provides 110dB SPL average efficiency and 110W RMS power handling.

Last but not least, surrounds and fills of the auditorium have been taking care of by 24pcs iFIX 8, CELTO Acoustique ultra compact installation coaxial speaker. Small by its size but big by its performance, iFIX8 is the recommended solution when invisible HiFi sounding is required.
